If you were to look at the many different brands in the world today, you would find that Google has a unique logo history. If you look at their earlier logo comma, you will see that it hardly compares to what you see today when you go to Google.com to search for something. Google is the largest search engine in the world and owns many different web properties including youtube.com and blogger.com which share in its immense traffic each day.
A Brief History of Google
Google started years ago as an open source company similar to the Linux company which wanted to inspire people to create and to develop ideas, even if it did not match the norms of the day.
This innovative spirit has continued to stay with Google to the present day, as you can see through their many creative innovations. From original Google apps to business tools and other artistic ideas, Google’s attention to detail and innovation continues.
Now, though Google is an independent company worth billions of dollars in revenue, they are the world the best search engine which continues to match relevant searches to content that researchers and searchers want to find.
Also, it houses the Youtube.com video platform as well as the Blogger.com blogging platform. All of these things work together to create targeted traffic for businesses who are wanting to integrate and coordinate their efforts online.

1. The first Google logo was made by Ruth Kedar, and it used an old Seraph style typeface that was originally designed by Gustav Jaeger for the Berthold type Foundry in 1982. It was simple but unique and stood for the integrity and uniqueness that the original founders wanted to capture.
2. The first Google logo doodle featured an “out of office” sign. This was a comical idea because it implied that Google, the world’s largest search engine, had taken a lunch break from the world. The very idea of a search engine is that it continues to allow people to search for whatever they want at any time of the day or night. So finding this logo was comical to many people.
3. The Google Doodle is not any one doodle, but an ever-changing logo that is unpredictable, charming, and creative. The doodles that are created by Google are considered the most creative aspect of the Google search engine and platform.
4. Google’s logo uses four colors: three primary colors (red, blue, and yellow), and one secondary color (green). The red, blue, and yellow were created to illustrate the primary colors that are common in computer use and nature, while the green “L” stands for the originality and uniqueness of Google. It may also indicate their love of the environment and the fact that Google takes an eco-friendly stance on the environment. But we cannot confirm that. Either way, it’s different and reminds the viewer that Google dares to be different and does not follow the same patterns all of the time. They like to create the element of surprise.
5. The logo of Google originally included an exclamation mark which was inspired by the famous Yahoo! logo. At the time, Yahoo! was bigger than Google. Now, Google has far surpassed Yahoo regarding both revenue and customers.
6. Several Doodles had come and gone before Google finally decided to go back to the standard Google logo. The logo is sometimes animated but not always. Google decided to divert from rendering a new animation all of the time for fear that they might confuse some customers or users about their logo. But they still feature new temporary logos whenever there is a new occasion or world event or invention to celebrate.
Google has created what few companies have been able to do by creating excitement for their logo through the magic of animation. Because you never know what it will be next, people come to Google at least once a day just to see how Google’s logo has changed.
7. Google uses its logo to celebrate specific events that are unique to the history of the world. Google is a global company that wants to recognize all of the countries of the world for their unique contributions to the universe. They show this by illustrating different aspects of the invention, including music, art, dance, and academics, to name a few. Their topics are unending, and their dedication to the artistic aspect is unfailing.
As you can see, Google has gone through several changes regarding its logo including changing from alternating doodles to a standard Google sign that sits idly on their page.
No one knows exactly why they decided to revert to the simplest doodle except that it just seems to capture the company spirit in the best way and they did not want to confuse their loyal follower and users. However, this did not stop Google’s natural tendency at creativity and innovation. They seem to sit in wait of the next holiday or special invention so that they can leap at the opportunity to create yet another unique Google Doodle art form.
Google has their artist sketch out another unique animation whenever they find the opportunity, and it helps capture and captivate the special occasion and day for the world. Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, Christmas, or Albert Einstein’s birthday, you’ll learn a lot about the world and the great people that are inspired it just by going to the Google search page daily.
Google’s Logo’s Impact on the World
Google has a unique way of reaching out to people by creating both artistic and emotional messages through their doodles. As mentioned before, the original logo of Google was based on the alternating Doodles that people saw as they came back to the page every day. Google decided that changing the logo this often was not to their advantage and they did not want it to confuse people regarding their branding.
