QUITE THE COMBO!!
Rating: 5
Love Half Life 2 and both of his expansions, but I want them to release the final one and be a complete and happy man!!
Love Portal
And Team Fortress it's really FUN!!
Incredible
Rating: 5
This is an incredible package. This includes five games for the price of one, basically.
-Half-Life 2
-Half-Life 2: Episode One
-Half-Life 2: Episode Two
-Portal
-Team Fortress 2
Each and every game included in here is amazing. Personally, I will not let any friends play HL2 until they have beaten the original game, which is the one bad thing about this box - original Half-Life is not included.
Nonetheless, Half-Life 2 is probably one of (if not THE) best sequels to a game ever - not to mention, the original still scores a 98/100 by Metascore.
Episode 1 is an excellent extension to the plot, though it is slightly short, but nothing unimpressive.
Episode 2, however, I felt was INCREDIBLE. The game, which also features many new features (such as the new particle engine), has such a deep and unfolding story line, with a stunning ending that will make it very hard to wait for Episode 3.
Portal, is also an amazing game. The challenges get harder and harder, but not too hard. I'm not going to reveal anything - but believe me, once you finish the "final" test, you're far from over.
Team Fortress 2 is a very, very well done multiplayer game - a great remake of the original Team Fortress Classic. The "cartoony" graphics are suprisingly very well done, and mixed well with the source-engine atmosphere. It really is very original.
So, I hope you take this VERY brief review into consideration, and purchase the Orange Box (if you haven't played original Half-Life, you must, to get the full story). Have fun!
Quite the disappointment
Rating: 1
After waiting for a very very long time for this edition of Team Fortress to finally release, I was excited to pay and download through "Steam". What a smack in the face that was. This was most likely the biggest waste of money. I almost cried from pure disappointment. The map layouts are almost exactly the same as TFC maps. It seems all that was done is the designers added a new layer of graphics over the old layout. After so much time being spent on this, I would have hoped for a better product.
Oh yeah, where are the grenades? How does a shooter game exist without having grenades?
TFC has TF2 beat by a long run. Purchase TFC (Half Life 1 Anthology) instead.
